We occasionally get to see one-of-a-kind things created by talented artists. In the art world, there is inevitably someone who finds out a unique style to stand out from the pack. That has always been the case since the dawn of art. However, as technology has progressed to the point where it is now, the conflict has moved to a new level. This is the period of picture editing.

This story is about John Wilhelm, a Swiss artist. It’s probably more about his art than it is about him. John Wilhelm learned about photography through his father, who was a hobbyist photographer. At first, he didn’t care much. He wasn’t into fiddling with film reels or lenses back then. Things took a turn when he got his hands on a digital camera. It was like winning the lottery. He can do everything his father could with his old analog camera, but he doesn’t have to worry about getting tangled up in the reels.

Wilhelm became interested in picture editing in 2011 after becoming familiar with the camera and its possibilities. There was no going back after he honed his picture editing talents. He claimed he didn’t have enough time to hire models or travel the world taking images, so he began using his daughters and himself as models. Fortunately, everything went smoothly for him.
